Terms & Conditions * FACE to FACE / ONLINE CHECK IN In face to face counselling: Upon arrival we will ask you to sign in and wait in the waiting area, where your counsellor will collect you. Please ensure you arrive at the time of your session. Remote/Virtual Counselling: Prior to your session, please take steps to ensure that conversation can’t be overheard by unauthorised third parties in the same building. Using headphones is advised. Please ensure you log-into to your virtual counselling platform at the time of your session. PAYMENT We accept all major debit card payments. CANCELLATION POLICY If you are unable to attend a counselling session, we ask you to provide 7-days’ notice. Cancellations made within less than 7 days will be charged at full cost. If you are unable to attend two sessions in a row, without letting us know, we may not be able to keep your time slot open, depending on the waiting list. If you choose to return to counselling at a later date, we will do our best to get you booked in with one of our counsellors. REFUNDS We have to acknowledge that counselling may not benefit everyone and once a session has been held, no refund will be issued. YOUR COUNSELLOR We will make every effort to book you in with a counsellor who suits your needs. If you are unsatisfied with your counsellor, we will do our best to change your counsellor, subject to availability. CONFIDENTIALITY Assessments and Counselling Sessions are confidential within ICounselling. The only time we would break confidentiality is if you tell us you will seriously harm yourself or someone else. In this case, we may contact your GP or emergency services to keep you, or someone else safe. We will aim to discuss this with you before we do so. Your counsellor will enter brief and concise session notes into our secure system, respecting your privacy at all time. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE If the Counsellor provides professional information, such information is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as professional advice. No action should be taken based upon any information contained in the Service. You should seek independent professional advice from a person who is licensed and/or qualified in the applicable area. Without limiting the foregoing, the contents of the Services are for informational purposes only. Our Counsellor Services are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. ICounselling does not recommend or endorse any specific tests, physicians, prescription products, procedures, opinions, or other information in the Services. Reliance on any information provided by ICounselling or its employees, agents or third parties via the Counselling Services is solely at your own risk. The Counselling Services may contain health- or medical-related materials that are explicit and if you find these materials offensive, you may not want to use the Counselling Services. ETHICAL PRACTICE I Counselling service adheres to the BACP Ethical Framework guidelines, and each practitioner additionally practices according to the ethical principles of their own training organisation. Headstrong does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. DISABILITIES If you have a disability, visible or invisible, please let us know at the time of booking your assessment and we will make the necessary adjustments to accommodate your needs. MODIFICATION OF THE TERMS I Counselling reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time. You agree to review these Terms and any Guidelines periodically for changes. When we make minor changes to the Terms we will update the ‘last modified’ date at the top of this page. When we make changes to the Terms in a material manner, we will update the ‘last modified’ date at the top of this page and notify you that material changes have been made to these Terms. If any such revision is unacceptable to you, your only remedy is to terminate your I Counselling counselling. I agree
