Rūḥ Counselling & Psychotherapy

About Me

Assalamu aleikum,

I’m Randa, a trainee counsellor who aims to provide a safe, serene and understanding space for women and men from a Muslim background, recognising the unique cultural and familial influences that may shape their experiences.

My practice offers an integrative approach with a gentle element of faith, offering a culturally sensitive approach that understands your experiences. My approach is rooted in the Islamic belief, aiming to provide a therapeutic experience that extends beyond healing the mind; it reaches into the essence of who we are – the soul; to help clients find that profound sense of calm and healing from within.

Services

  • Designed to help us both understand if we're a good fit for working together. To prepare for our time, you will be sent three key documents to complete beforehand: a Personal Details and Initial Assessment Form to gather your contact information, background, and relevant health or counselling history; a CORE10 Mental Health Assessment to help us measure your distress and track your progress; and a Counselling Contract that outlines the terms of our work together. This process ensures we can use our first session effectively, focusing on your presenting problems and any risk issues in a structured way.

  • £10 - Administrative Fee

A safe space where you can speak freely without fear of being judged. As an integrative trainee counsellor, my goal is to support you on your journey toward greater well-being. While I have an understanding of Islamic backgrounds and can integrate elements of the Islamic faith into our work if you wish, please know that this is a space for everyone. Our sessions are guided by your needs and at your pace, ensuring you feel heard, understood, and respected throughout the entire process.

Note: This is a limited time fee during the counsellor’s training that only covers administrative costs. These sessions are limited to 6 sessions per client.

  • We offer free parenting support groups to help you navigate the challenges of raising children. The Talking Teens program is a 4-week course designed for parents of adolescents aged 11 to 19, providing a supportive space to share experiences and learn new strategies. For parents with younger children, our Nurture Programme is a 10-week course aimed at those with kids aged 2 to 12. Both of these programs are part of the Centre for Emotional Health, emphasizing our commitment to fostering well-being for the entire family.
